to provide support for pregnancy hypertension recovery at home

Emory Healthcare is offering remote patient monitoring to support postpartum recovery for patients who have been diagnosed with pregnancy hypertension. This program allows you to safely monitor your blood pressure from home with the help of Welby's dedicated nursing team.

Why this program is recommended for you:

Women who have been diagnosed with pregnancy hypertension during pregnancy have an increased risk of developing postpartum preeclampsia, which can occur up to 6 weeks after delivery. If you were diagnosed with pregnancy hypertension during or after your pregnancy, it's important to continue monitoring for signs and symptoms in the weeks after delivery. Elevated blood pressure during postpartum recovery can pose a risk even after being discharged home.

This program is part of a study Emory is participating in to improve care for postpartum patients. Your participation will support your own recovery and may help improve care for others in the future.

Feel confident knowing that someone is looking out for you after you leave the hospital. You’re not alone, we’re here to help you stay healthy.

Benefits To Patients

The Welby team supports Emory Healthcare in providing safe, connected postpartum care for patients recovering from pregnancy hypertension.

  • Support Beyond the Hospital

We’re here to support you after delivery. After taking your daily blood pressure, a nurse will check your readings regularly and reach out if anything looks out of range—so you never have to wonder if something is normal.

  • Always Within Reach

Have a question or concern about your recovery? You’ll have direct access to a nurse who can help or coordinate with your Emory provider, so you get the care you need, when you need it. These programs do not provide 24/7 monitoring. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please seek immediate medical attention by calling 911 or visiting the nearest emergency room.

  • Simple At-Home Monitoring

You’ll receive a blood pressure monitor to use at home. Taking daily readings helps your care team watch for any signs of concern and support you through a safe recovery.
